Some would say a man, crazed about UK Basketball 12 months out of a year, has a bad or unhealthy obsession. At the same time,the same level of passion transferred to a beloved family pet (a cat named "Princess Ginger-Muffins 3rd) would widely be percieved as a healthy or good obsession.
Now imagine what the result would be if two objects of obsessions - one positive, one negative - were put together to form a single unified obsession, one that is not only the object of obsession but also, an expression of? Imagine the possibilities, the wide range of outcomes! Would the negative overrule the positive, causing the product to be looked down upon? Or perhaps the positive and negative cancel each other out.....I guess, only the final bid amount will tell.
This has made my night! Two of the best things in the world: College Sports & the preservation of a long lost family pet through the Art of Taxidermy. I've long dreamed of one day transforming my sweet "Darling" pet into "The Dog that Keeps on Giving". What a creation! Not just a warm photo. Not just a piece of decoration. Not just the single most innovative way to provide coaster-like protection for the furniture. A creation that holds not only the beer, but the heart too. How Legendary would it be to surprise my wife with this at her graduation? Such a present would steal the thunder of becoming a doctor. Still, such a gift and I would continue to live throughout the generations to pass. I, through the stories of my children, grandchildren, and their children's children.
